When I was young I constantly asked everyone around to draw me divers and the underwater world.
If I saw a magazine with a diver on the cover, I would stop at nothing, until I got it in my hands.
I remember diving on my fathers back, long before I learned how to swim, and how my mother
transformed the story
“Little Red Riding Hood”
to the “Red Diving Hood”
and the “Sea Wolf”.
I fell in love with diving
when I was young
and ever since then,
I’ve been chasing that dream.

My parents couldn’t afford diving lessons, so right after high school I was able to earn my own money, and I started taking my first classes.
This is also the time I came across freediving for the first time.
The concept of diving on a single breath, got me very excited.
In 2005, I started my training, and I was completely hooked on this pure form of diving.

Two years later in 2007, I got employed full time as a commercial diver. This gave me the opportunity to learn a very specialised form of diving, which is saturation diving. Due to different events in my life,
I had to set aside training and work
as a commercial diver
for the next 10 years.

I felt that there was something missing and that was freediving, because the most happiest times in my life, where when I was freediving, training, competing and spending time with other freedivers.
In 2017, I decided to fully get back to freediving.

Now I teach and pass on my knowledge to my students, and most of all, I get to share my passion.

I live my childhood dream,
I'm a diver.

I'm a deep addict.

For some it’s the moonfish, for others the sunfi For some it’s the moonfish, for others the sunfish but when we mention Mola Mola…

To get it even more confusing or in other hand - precise - this one is Mola Alexandrini…

or Souther Ocean Sunfish/ Ramsay’s Sunfish or Short Sunfish, then Bump-head Sunfish.

Let’s stay with Mola.

Previously I’ve seen it only on photos or pictures and found it at least…strange and ‘specific’.

Now I can admit that when we meet her in real life I felt in love with Mola.

It was nice to meet you, Alexandrini!

Cute little „fish”. It’s actually a marine Cute little „fish”.

It’s actually a marine mollusc, cephalopod-

Cuttlefish

I found suprpsing that despite they are masters of disguise and color change they are color blind.

Ashamed to admit but this one is ready to fight because I have crossed her border of intimate distance.

Common Octopus !!

Some of my favourite facts about octopus:

* They have blue blood with hemocyanin that contains cooper instead of iron that we have in hemoglobin. Hemocyanin is more effective to transport oxygen in lower temperatures, in deep cold water.
* Octopuses possess an autonomic (unconscious) response that maintains the orientation of their pupils such that they are always horizontal.
* They can ‘see’ the light through their skin (opsins cells) and can respond to it -no eyes and brain involved. By changing the pigment in their skin almost instantaneously they reflect the environment around them.
